Skills Library

Eleven skills. One click. Every chat.

A skill is a set of standing instructions Claude reads and follows on its own. You don’t call them and you don’t type anything special. Claude notices when one applies and uses it. These are the ones I install for every client, whatever the business does — and none of them assume you write code. Eleven of them install as one bundle; four more sit in the library below.

The bundle

Install the whole set in one click.

One file, eleven skills — the other four in the library download on their own. Everyone on the team does this once, and from then on Claude behaves the same way for all of them. Free, and there’s nothing to sign up for.

  1. Download the file above.
  2. Open it in the Claude desktop app. Double-clicking it is enough.
  3. Press the install button.
  4. Check it took: Settings, then Plugins. You’ll see ash-ai-essentials listed.

The library

Here’s what each one changes about your day.

Fifteen in all: the eleven in the bundle, plus four tagged extra or advanced that you take on their own. Every trigger below was tested — confirmed to fire when you’d want it to, and to stay quiet when you wouldn’t.

do-this

When Claude needs something from you

Opens the exact page, points at the exact button, hands you the exact thing to paste. No hunting through a settings menu.

how-to

“I don’t know where to start”

Say what you want to end up with. Claude walks you there one small step at a time until the thing actually exists.

Download (5 KB)

what-the

Somebody used a word you didn’t know

Plain English, no follow-up embarrassment. Ends by telling you whether you actually need to care about it.

Download (3 KB)

grill-me

Before anything big gets built

Claude interviews you first. Three or four questions, mostly tappable. You get a first draft that’s close instead of one you throw away.

anti-ai-writing

Anything a human will read

Strips the tells. There’s a banned word list and a set of structural rules. Put the before and after side by side once and you’ll never turn it off.

Download (5 KB)

prompt-optimizer

For the thing you ask every week

Describe roughly what you want. Get back a finished prompt in a copy block. Save it. Reuse it.

Download (11 KB)

handoff

Long chat, and now it’s tomorrow

Compresses the whole thread into a document you paste into a fresh chat to keep going. Also how you hand your work to a colleague.

skill-creator

Build your own

The moment your team notices it’s typing the same instructions every week, that’s a skill. This writes it for you.

Download (74 KB)

fact-checker

Before it goes out with your name on it

Checks every claim in a draft against live sources. Tells you what held up, what it couldn’t verify, and what’s wrong.

dashboard-first

Answers with more than one number

Come back as something you can look at. Charts, tiles, comparisons, built to read on a phone.

infographic-builder

One image, ready to post

Turns content into a single polished graphic sized for social feeds and for printing.

design-tokens · extra

You have screenshots of a look you want

Pulls the palette, type and spacing out of reference images and writes them down, so everything built afterwards matches instead of drifting. Not in the bundle — take it if you build things.

Download (4 KB)

internal-tool-design · extra

Every internal tool, one house style

Tokens, components and an app shell for admin panels, dashboards and staff apps. One accent colour per project, contrast checked, and it works on a phone. Stops the fourth tool you build looking nothing like the first three.

delegate-first · advanced

Stop Claude doing everything in one chat

Long jobs go out to background agents that report back, so the conversation stays fast and you can keep talking while they run. Two countable rules for when to hand work off, so it stops being a judgement call.

phase-session-build · advanced

A build too big for one sitting

Plans the work into phases and sessions, writes each one out, runs it, reads what came back, then starts the next. Pick it up cold weeks later and it knows where it stopped. Needs Claude Code.

One at a time

No desktop app? Install them individually.

The bundle needs the Claude desktop app. If you live in the browser or on your phone, every skill above also downloads on its own and installs straight into your Claude account — where it then applies on every device you’re signed in on.

Each zip carries its own install instructions, so they still make sense a month from now when you’ve forgotten where they came from.

  1. Go to claude.ai/customize/skills
  2. Click Add, then Upload a skill.
  3. Choose the zip you downloaded. Don’t unzip it first.
  4. You’re done when the skill appears in your list with its toggle switched on.

What to expect

Give it two weeks before you judge it.

Skills don’t make Claude smarter

They make it behave the same way every time. The payoff shows up in the work you repeat, not in the demo.

Try these three today

Paste a draft email and say make this sound human. Paste a word you didn’t know and say what the. Name something you want to set up and say how do I.

Do I need to turn them on per chat?

No. Install once and they apply to every conversation on every device you’re signed in on. There’s nothing to remember.

Questions about any of these

Just ask — akiva@ash-ai.app. If one of them isn’t firing when you’d expect, that’s worth telling me about.
